Yes! Many patients choose to send their assessment report to their local provider for treatment. Patients can download their completed assessment from a laptop or desktop computer to share with their provider, or the report can be faxed directly from your patient portal. The assessment report will have more than enough information to assist your provider in developing a treatment plan with you.
Helpful Tip: Psychologists can't prescribe medications. You must form a treatment plan with a provider who is licensed to prescribe medications in your state such as a primary care physician, psychiatrist, physician's assistant, or nurse practitioner.
If you choose to take your assessment results to your primary care provider, you will need to be an established patient with them. For example, urgent care physicians typically do not treat or prescribe medications for conditions like ADHD because they require ongoing follow-up visits for the patient's safety.
