2. Does AI ever participate in my medical care or clinical decision-making?
No. All medical evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations are made exclusively by licensed healthcare professionals. AI is never used to determine your care or influence clinical judgments.
3. What is AI ambient listening?
AI ambient listening refers to technology that can assist with tasks such as transcribing or organizing information during patient interactions. Its purpose is to reduce administrative burden—not to interpret health information or make decisions about your care.
4. Can I choose not to use AI ambient listening?
Yes. You may request to opt out of AI ambient listening features. When you do, we document and flag your preference in our internal systems so your care team is aware.
5. If I opt out, will all AI systems stop processing my information?
Not entirely. While we make every effort to honor opt-out requests for ambient listening, some background AI processes may still operate within our systems to support routine business functions. These tools are limited to tasks like the Mentavi Concierge, data organization, and other operational processes — not medical decision-making.
6. Will opting out affect my care?
No. Choosing not to use AI ambient listening does not impact the quality of your care. Your clinician will continue to provide the same level of attention and clinical expertise.
